I am Kristee L. Haggins, Ph.D. a public speaker, educator, consultant, therapist, retreat facilitator and writer focused on healing and wholeness.

 
 

Dr. Kristee is personable, professional, and authentic in her support of individuals, groups, organizations and communities in enhancing their self-awareness and commitment to growth and wellness. She provides nonjudgmental safe spaces for learning by sharing her own personal and professional life experiences.  Dr. Kristee’s background as a therapist and professor, along with her strong facilitation skills and creative methods engage and move participants toward transformation. Dr. Kristee has a strength-based style and approaches each and every encounter with cultural sensitivity and respect.

 
 

Academic Background


Dr. Kristee holds a B.A. in Psychology – Honors from the University of Southern California, and a M.A. and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in Counseling Psychology.

 

Current Work Experience


  • Dr. Kristee is currently an Associate Professor at California Northstate University and an Adjunct Professor at Alliant International University/California School of Professional Psychology-Sacramento where she teaches courses on Introduction to Psychotherapy and Cultural Diversity Training.

  • Dr. Kristee is a founding member of Safe Black Space Community Healing Circles.

  • Dr. Kristee is licensed as a Psychologist in California (PSY 14905).

  • Previously, Dr. Kristee worked for the California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions, as a member of the Health Equity Team, where she conceptualized, developed, promoted and led multiple projects focused on promoting excellence and the integration of cultural competence into publicly funded behavioral health systems and in mental health services.

  • Dr. Kristee also worked at UC Davis where she was an Associate Director and Director of Training in Counseling and Psychological Services, in addition to being an Adjunct Professor in African American and African Studies.
